This was our family first pumpkin patch. We never saw so many pumpkins. In different shapes, colors, and sizes. It was hard to find that perfect one. You girls had the chance to pick out a pumpkin. Liana had so much fun playing. Terrion love picking out her pumpkin. I Love the smile on everyone's face. As for daddy he was just being dad. Being there for his girls!

Happy Fat Tuesday

So here is a little information about my family history. My family is from New Orleans, Louisiana. My mother is African American, Indian and French and my father is African American. And as a child I can recall going to the mardi gras every year. We would have the week off from school. My great aunt’s, my mom, and cousins would make hot dogs, hamburgers, and bring chips, drinks. Then we would pack up around six in the morning and head out to the French quarter and Bounded Street. We would go to our regular spot. My aunt have been going to this spot for a very long time 40 plus years. :--) (God Bless Her Soul)

Then we would go to Up Town New Orleans and look at the Indians dance in the street. The Indian clothing would be beautiful full of colors. The parade would so many floats 100 plus. They would also have cheer leaders and marching bands from different school in New Orleans. It was a joyful time.
It made me want to do something to remind me of New Orleans.

The apartments that my family live in did a mardi gras party and my girls and I had the chance to make mardi gras masks and they are so cute. Be on the lookout for my mardi gras scrap page.

Another thing I remember as a kid is we would take our beads and make key chains, snakes, crosses and much more. For my craft today I did the mask and the key chain ------->

Welcome!!

Welcome to my very first scrapbook blog.
Let me start by telling you how I got stared in the world of scrapbooking. I've been scrapbooking a little of a year. I don’t know all the ends and outs to scrapbooking but; I’m willing and ready to learn.

The first time I was introduce to scrapbooking was by one of my great friends Daphne. I meet her here in Virginia. The very first time I visited her home she had all her scrapbook stuff out. It was like a pirate sealing the sea and came upon an island full of treasure everywhere. LOL!  Her scrapbook collection consists of supplies, paper, and tools; And of course her Lay Outs.

Then my other girlfriend Juna, she was always say she going to scrapbooking. Will I finally understand what she was talking about!  Every Friday a group of women get together and do crafts. I saw all of Juan collections of layouts wow she has a lot.

So the world of scrapbooking is my new found hobby and I love it. I’m learning a lot. And I can’t wait for the world to see my layouts. If you have any question, comments, or suggestions please feel free to post.

Happy Scrapbooking,
An’Jenic
