Welcome to another Crafty Moms Column Post

This week its my turn.

Did you all enjoy seeing Angela's Christmas cards last week?

It sure is nice to created them in advance wouldn't you say?

Okay this week my inspiration is based on my mom. 

As some of you may know last year in October  I visit my parents for seven months. 

And now she is going through withdraw of us not being their and calling.  See my oldest is the first grand-baby. As you all know the first grand-baby is spoiled.  Terrion and my mom are very close. Terrion had called as much as she use too.  My mom made the statement that no one calls her. So I wanted to cheer her up and send her this card. 

Now for my card...

I used Mark's Finest Papers Pussy Willows stamp set. 

I love the way the bird sets on the  branch. And I could not help adding a little sparkle to my card with some glitter. I stamped my image on  Strathmoree Watercolor paper.  I have to say this is far better to color and stamp your image on than regular card stock. This is something I did not know they had. So I picked some up yesterday. And boy I'm happy I did. I colored the image in using inks by Tim Holtz: Peeled Paint, Frayed burlap, Chipped Sapphire, Scattered Straw and Mustard Seed. I used Tim Holtz Iced Spruce to ink the card stock and water paper. I used Pattren Papers by: Simple Stories: Vintage Bliss. I add some Liquid Pearls to finish it off.
