Mark's Finest Papers January Blog Hop: Swans

January Blog Hop!

This month's New Stamp Set Releases are

 Featured Jan. 14

My first card I'm sharing I wanted to show case the fun card technique card called Aperture. And I always admire Beccy over at Beccy's Place for her amazing Card Fold Tutorials. When I first start card making I stumble upon her site. And she is the reason I know so many beautiful card tutorials. You can see how easy it is to make this Aperture card HERE.  For my pattern paper I used one of my favorite paper packs from 2013 by Simple Stories. Its called Vintage Bliss. If I find this pack I would order it again. Its my go to pack. I used some fun gems I picked up from Pinque Peacock Discount Hut. For my swan I used {Ruby} embossing powder by Recollections. I thought it would be perfect against the Kraft card stock.

Next I have a clean and simple card. You all should know by now that I love clean and simple cards. I thought this stamp set would be perfect. I stamped it with white ink on kraft and add sentiment and gems. Clean and Simple!!

Next I created a card using another technique for a challenge over at Scrapbook Blessings Club. The challenge over at SBC is to create a winter theme card and they have technique you do not have to use but since I've always wanted to try this I give it a go. Its easy to create this Reflection technique. I'm not sure how good I did but I must admit I love it very much. And with Mark's Finest Papers Swans stamp set I just had to give this a try and I'm very happy I did. Let me know what you think of this technique. I'm also entering this card  into a challenge over at Sweet Stamps BLOG: Winter Blues Challenge.

Please hop along with us! You have a chance to win one of the above stamp sets! Just comment on the following blogs (don't forget this one), each day for more chances to win! (You do NOT have to comment on all the blogs each day! The names are drawn randomly!) All three winners will be announced on Jan. 18,2014 on the Mark's Finest Papers blog. You can go back and comment if you missed a day. (HINT: The more you comment, the more chances you have to win and comments on the MFP blog count twice!) The deadline for commenting is 10 PM EST on Friday Jan. 17, 2014

Here's the Design Team:

Come on back tomorrow for more creativity.

Like the variety of Swan cards. Like the look thru circle card. The CAS using Kraft cardstock is my fav since I'm a CAS kind of gal & like to use Kraft cardstock. Like the blue card.
