Scrapping Everyday Miracles May Challenge

Good Morning Crafty Friend,
Happy May First To You!! Yesterday was the first day we have had that felt like Spring and that Summer was on its way.  We got up into the 80s here in WA.  Anyway today is the new start up of Scrapping Everyday Miracles  May Challenge. Our challenge this month is all about fresh starts,  about being renew, new or anything dealing with rebirth - all things made new.

Our scripture inspiration verse come is

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

I decide that this month I wanted to use the scripture this month. Now I wanted to print this but forgot I need to get more ink to print. Since I wasn't feeling up to run to the store just for ink I decide to hand stamp all the letters to make my sentiment. I used My Creative Time: Just Simply Live  for the letters and numbers.  For the cute butterflies I used My Creative Time: Chunky Jar Accessories  and for my flowers, ladybug and grass I used My Creative Time newly release stamp set:  Build A Pretty Flower. I just love this stamp set by MCT. For my inks I used Studio Calico Color Theory Ink: Yes Peas,  Deja Blue, Something Blue,  Mint Hint,  Emerald City, Sunny Day, Blush Crush, and Coral Bay. I really like how will I was able to combine these colors and they not overlap each other. I think this turned out great. I'm giving this to my oldest daughter as a bookmark. She reads so much that she go through bookmarks. And I thought this would be perfect for her. For the black ink I used VersaFine. I must say I really love this ink. I just got it and I just love it. The tag is from Inkssentials and its #8 size. I used some white sheer ribbon to complete my tag.

Now with our May post you will also find that we have a card and layout sketch. I add them to this post for you all just in case you may want to join us this month.
