Easel Card Blog Hop

Today I'm joining some fabulous Crafters to bring you cards all based on an Easel Cards. That's right along the way you should see a easel card.

Now I must say this is my very first easel card and boy am I proud of it. Not to toot my own horn. I've seen so many easel cards tutorial. I wanted to try a shaped easel card. So I looked at some of the stander easel cards.

Every thing you see here was made using Cricut/Gypsy.  I used my Gypsy to create my Easel. 

I started out using Cricut: Elegant Edges. I used the shadow feature to get the base of the card. I love the color yellow and I have been so fascinated by bees lately. I have these trees in my back yard and the bees have been picking the pollen. Funny thing is they are all done. So this card was inspired by my favorite color yellow and the bees in my yard.

The card base measure: 5.00 x 8.21 (WxH) and each base piece by it's self is: 4.99 x 4.54. The top base measure at: 4.98 x 4.54 This part is cut out by itself then glued on as you would do an regular easel card.  I then cut the polka dot layer at: 4.76 x 4.54 the circle is cut out at: 3.60 x 3.43. I used Cricut: Walk In My Garden for my cute little bees at 3.13 x 3.29 for the the bottom bee cut out at: 3.51 x 2.40 I add some black gems for the eyes.  Some flux stitching around the wings and the card. I use K.Andrew Stamp set: "Beautiful Thoughts" for my sentiment.
