HIMCR-43 April Showers Bring Homemade Flowers!
H-A-P-P-Y S-A-T,
You know what time it is: Hiding In My Craft Room Sat Challenge. This week we were ask to use flowers. Okay when I thought of flowers so many thoughts came to mind and so many went away. Ha Ha! I do have something for you all and it does have flowers. I’m really excited about it. It’s not every day I alter art but I felt the need to do so. I think that my canvas turned out really great.
What do you think? I got this 6x6 canvas from a swap last year. I thought what am I going to do with this? I was told to make a min layout. I didn’t want that. So it was all up in the air till I went to Joann’s and saw these vellum quotes by “Studio112” in the dollar baskets. I inked the vellum with distress ink: vintage photo.
I picked up a few not really looking; but I knew
I wanted them. How many times you pick up something and didn't know what
you were going to do with them. As I being to look through them (I at home at
this time tee hee) I went through them and they had one that was all about families. I saw this awesome sentiments about marriage and thought this
is it. I know this was the perfect addition to my canvas. I’m so happy with my creation
and it’s in my craft room hanging up.
I used a plain canvas & I took some mist that I had from Mister Huey’s (Bonny Blue, Piglet, Clover, and Lemonade). I’ve had these a whole year and they have been sitting so I thought I would put them to good use.
I made the flowers using Art Philosophy; I then embossed the green and red flowers using: Polka Dots. The brown was already embossed paper.
I put all this together with my hot glue gone. I glued the gold beads on first. (It’s just the right touch) I also used brads to hold my velllum. So the glue wouldn’t show up. I punched the holes with my brad setter by We R Memory Keepers.
P.S. my doctors appoint went will. I want go into all the details just know there was a big mix up between me and another women charts. So no bed rest for me; but maybe some for her. I don’t know all of the details of her story. But God Is Good In All He Do!
