In addition to seeing a lot of awesome creations, there is some blog candy available too.  Miranda will be giving away a Michael’s gift card.  To be eligible for the blog candy, you are required to visit each stop in the hop and leave a comment!  The winner will be announced Friday on Miranda's Blog!

I had so many ideas for this blog hop. I cut so many things and still ended up with a simple card.  To give to a friend of mine  who's son want to stay home when he found out that my oldest did not have school because of Mardi Gras. lol!!!  The decor  you see in this picture was made last year And was giving to my mom by my great aunt. The coconuts  are from the Zulu Indians.  Each year you can count on see the Zulu Indians all dressed up with lots of fun feathers.  See I was born in New Orleans. Its so much fun to go to Mardi Gras and as kids we would get up early in the morning and get our same spot each year. We would catch: teddy bears, moon pies, cups, candy, toys, beads, and so much more. We would get lots of cotton candy, hot dogs, hamburgers, candy apple, funnel cake, and lots of other fun carnival food.

To get this card base I used my Silhouette Cameo. To get the hat and sentiment I use Cricut: Designer's Calendar.  I used paper by: DCWV: The Shimmer Stack.

I have a little candy to giveaway to one lucky winner.

Happy Mardi Gras!!!! I am currently live in Lafayette, LA but was raised in Baton Rouge. We would go every year to New Orleans for the parades and I fondly remember all those beads, bears, candy, toys and of course the delicious carnival food. Now we stay here in Lafayette for the parades.

I love the shape and colors of the card. Very creative!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!
